So...What is a do-rag?
The do-rag has been in use for centuries. First used in Africa simply to tie the hair down while working. Du rags have been used for varied reasons such as, keeping hair styles in place in the 30s and 40s. Bikers wore do rags in the 70s to keep their hair under control when riding their bikes. In the current day they are used by street gangs to display their gang colours. |
